DC Resident:

Purchase a handgun, the gun will get shipped to DC FFL (DC will call you to start your process and set your appointment for MPD).

ID Proof of residency (lease or deed or bank statement or utility bill)

DC certification form provided after completion of course. When you go to MPD make sure you say the right instructor at the bottom of your paperwork.

After you have paid for your electronic fingerprint submission, you can submit your application to the Division of Licensing. Be sure to include the following items with your application: photocopies of your fingerprint scan and all receipts (including the CWCS receipt), a photograph, training documentation and a check or money order for the $55 licensing fee.

IMPORTANT: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION TO THE DIVISION OF LICENSING WITHIN 90 DAYS OF YOUR FINGERPRINT SCAN TO AVOID INCONVENIENCE AND ADDITIONAL EXPENSE.

Enter three (3) references (Name, Address and Phone Number)

Submit a picture of your fingerprint confirmation receipt

Submit a picture of your MD Concealed Carry certification form

Submit a picture of your passport picture.

Virginia accepts or acknowledges non-resident conceal carry permits from both MD and DC, so you would be able to conceal carry legally across the DMV area after having both DC and MD CCW.
